St. Patrick's Day at The Old Store	Tuesday, March 17th from 4-6pm	Come celebrate with us and enjoy a little Irish charm! 🍀 We’re excited to welcome Carole Bowman Greene and Ceili-Bound, an Irish folk Band from the High Country, to the Old Store for a beautiful afternoon filled with the rich sounds of Celtic music. We’ll also be serving up some traditional Irish favorites, including hearty potato soup, fresh soda bread, shamrock cookies, and a few festive leprechaun libations to top it all off. Help celebrate the coming of spring by enjoying a "wee bit of the green" with music, fellowship and a touch of Irish charm.
National Sourdough Day Celebration	Wednesday, April 1st through Sunday April 5th	Wednesday, April 1 is National Sourdough Day! In celebration, we are offering a 10% discount on all sourdough-related products from April 1 to April 5!
National Gardening Day	Tuesday, April 14th through Sunday, April 19th	In celebration of National Gardening Day, enjoy 10% off all gardening related products April 14-19. From seeds to tools, find everything you need to start the season growing!
Houseplant Adopt-a-thon	Wednesday, April 22nd through April 26th	Houseplant Adopt-a-thon at The Old Store! 🌿 Beginning Wednesday, April 22 (Earth Day) and running through April 26, we’re hosting a Houseplant Adopt-a-thon. Come give one of our Little Saps overstock houseplants a new home and enjoy 50% off while you’re at it. Stop by, pick out your new little plant baby, and take home a bit of green for spring.
Arbor Day Tree Seedling Giveaway	Friday April 24th to Sunday April 26th	Celebrate Arbor Day at The Old Store! 🌲 Friday, April 24 is Arbor Day, and to celebrate we’ll be giving away one free tree seedling per customer from April 24 through April 26. Stop by, take home a little tree, and plant something that will grow for years to come. (We are a tree farm, after all!)
A Sweet Afternoon with the Bees	Saturday, May 2nd at 2pm	Learn about honey bees and beekeeping with local beekeeper Shannon Olive.
Tasting with Tasha: A Flavorful Afternoon of Samples & Simple Recipes	Sunday, May 17 from 2–4 pm	Our spice guru, Natasha Romans, from The Tea and Spice Exchange will be here sharing simple, delicious recipes that highlight their incredible seasonings. On the menu: a flavorful salmon dish and a fresh Tuscany pasta salad. Come sip, sample, and discover new ways to elevate everyday cooking—because let’s be honest, everything is better when you can taste it first.
Memorial Day Weekend Sale	May 22nd - 25th	We're celebrating Memorial Day with Rock Your Discount! What’s the Trick with Sourdough?	Saturday, June 27 at 2pm	Curious about sourdough? Join us for a live demonstration with The Old Store vendor Paula Williams of Sweet Aromas as she shares the secrets behind this timeless craft. From starters to baking, Paula will walk you through the process and answer your questions along the way. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your technique, you’ll leave inspired—and ready to start your own loaf at home—with a few take-home goodies to get you started. Blueberry Bash	Saturday, July 11th from 2-4pm	Get ready for a berry good time! 🫐 We’re teaming up with Imagination Ashe to celebrate their 20th anniversary with our 2nd Annual Blueberry Bash—an afternoon packed with family fun, fresh-picked joy, and a splash of creativity. Enjoy live music, storytelling from local favorites (including Jeff Dryer and Sheriff Phil Howell), games, bubbles, sweet treats, and more surprises—including our antique popcorn wagon. Grassy Creek History Tour with Lonnie Jones	Sunday, July 19 (Exact time TBD)	Step back in time and experience the story of Grassy Creek with local historian and author Lonnie Jones. The Grassy Creek Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, is rich with stories of Appalachian life, farming, and community. Join Lonnie for a guided tour through the district as he shares firsthand knowledge and local insight you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a unique opportunity to see this special place through the eyes of someone who knows it best.
