St. Patty's Day at The Old Store	Sunday, March 17th from 4-6pm	Kickoff spring and celebrate St. Patty's Day at The Old Store! Harpist Carole Greene and soloist Trish Gardner will perform traditional Irish ballads and "bar tunes". We will have Irish Whiskey, hot potato soup and other snacks. See you there!
Saved by a Salamander Day	May 18th - various events all day	In partnership with the New River Conservancy. Learn more at savedbyasalamander.org.
The Jeff Little Trio	May 18th at 5:30pm	Jeff Little is an award-winning musician from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. With few exceptions the piano does not play a prominent part in Americana or Appalachian music and is rarely the lead instrument. But Jeff Little is an exception and a remarkable one. Jeff has not only been recognized as a critically acclaimed musician but also a true music innovator. Learn about the Jeff Little Trio on their website. We will have a food truck onsite as well!
Memorial Day Weekend Sale	May 25th - May 27th	We're celebrating Memorial Day with a weekend of sales! Up to 10% off all gift items. Father's Day Cookout	Sunday, June 16th 1-6pm	Celebrate Dad at The Old Store with Burgers, Brats, Beverages, and Blues. We're having a Father's Day Cookout with live music from Kyle Sigmon. Bring your Dad and join the fun!
High Country Hi Brow	Sunday, June 30th from 2-4pm	High Country Hi Brow live classical music performance by the String Trio - Carol, Nick and Connie on harp, cello & hammered dulcimer. Join us for beautiful music and a good time!
First Families of Grassy Creek	Sunday, July 7th at 2pm	Local historian and Grassy Creek native, Lonnie Jones, will tell us all about Grassy Creek's first families - the families that defined the character and architecture of Grassy Creek.
Mountain Mushroom Mama - Roots Fruits & Shoots with Brooke Idol	Sunday, July 28th 2-4pm	Come learn about the marvelous and mysterious world of mushrooms! Brooke Idol, local naturalist and forager, will give a presentation on various types of mushrooms, how they work, and what they look like from Ashe to Australia. Participants can bring mushrooms they have foraged for identification.
Sidewalk Sale	September 20th-22nd	We need to make way for new holiday merchandise, so we're hosting a September Sidewalk Sale! Select items will be marked down 20-50%. Grab some great gift items and more at a great deal!
Christmas Tree Lot	November 22nd to December 8th	We will have farm fresh Christmas trees from Hart-T-Tree Farms at The Old Store Christmas Tree Lot.
Wreath Decorating	November 23rd to December 8th	Back by popular demand, but slightly re-imagined! Wreath decorating at The Old Store! Decorate one of our beautiful mixed green wreaths made by Grouse Ridge Farm & Fishel's Organics. Wreaths are built on 8", 12" and 16" wreath rings with finished sizes of 18", 22" and 26". Black Friday Sale	Saturday, November 29th	We're having a Black Friday Sale on Friday, November 24th! Everything in the store is 10% off. Happy Shopping!!
A Taste of Home at The Old Store	Saturday, November 30th from 1-5pm	We're going to celebrate Small Business Saturday with A Taste of Home at The Old Store! Come sample all of the delicious speciality foods and treats our store has to offer. We will have wine available for your sipping pleasure as well. Also, we're extending our Black Friday Sale and offering 10% off all day long. Don't forget that we'll have Hart-T-Tree Farms Christmas trees and Grouse Ridge wreaths available for sale. So you can have fun, enjoy delicious food and drink, get your tree and find Christmas gifts for all of your loved ones!
Small Business Saturday	Saturday, November 30th	We're extending our Black Friday Sale and offering 10% off all day long!
